Power just released its annual <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jdpower.com\/business\/press-releases\/2023-north-america-airline-satisfaction-study\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">North America Airline Satisfaction Study<\/a> which measures customer satisfaction with carriers across eight categories:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Aircraft<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Baggage<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Boarding<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Check-in<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cost and fees<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Flight crew<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In-flight services<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reservations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<div class=\"related single cf\">\n<h3 class=\"related-title\">Related:<\/h3>\n<span class=\"related-item\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.smartertravel.com\/10-airlines-leastlikely-bump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">This Airlines is Most Likely to Bump You Off a Flight<\/a><\/p><\/span>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>J.D. Power, as airline profits have increased over the last few years, consumers have become increasingly unhappy with airlines. \u201cIf yield management were the only metric airlines needed to be successful in the long term, this would be a banner year for the industry because they are operating at peak economic efficiency,\u201d said Michael Taylor, travel intelligence lead at J.D. Power. \u201cFrom the customer perspective, however, that means planes are crowded, tickets are expensive and flight availability is constrained.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"related single cf\">\n<h3 class=\"related-title\">Related:<\/h3>\n<span class=\"related-item\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.smartertravel.com\/steps-to-take-if-your-luggage-is-ruined-by-an-airline\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The One Thing You Should Never Do If An Airline Damages Your Luggage<\/a><\/p><\/span>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Overall passenger satisfaction fell 7 points on the annual survey, following a huge 22-point decrease from 2021 to 2022.
